In 1968, Longines launched the Ultra-Chron Diver, the first underwater watch with a high frequency movement. At the time, Longines had already established himself as a pioneer of high frequency technology. Already in 1914, the winged hourglass brand created the first high frequency timing device capable of measuring 1/10 of a second. In 1959, Longines developed the first high frequency movement for wrist watches, an observatory time trial that established new records in terms of precision. The new ultra-chron is inspired by the aesthetic codes and professional immersion characteristics of the 1968 model. These clockwise clock clocks are fed by an exclusive Longines caliber equipped with silicon spiral and resistant to magnetic fields.
